Avaliação de experiência do usuário durante o desenvolvimento de um aplicativo social móvel

Abstract

Abstract: This dissertation is about user experience evaluation during the development stages of a mobile social application. The term ?user experience? was created in the mid-90s and, since then, the topic has generated a growing interest by researchers and practitioners of Human-Computer Interaction and Interaction Design. Despite being widely used, the concept of user experience still lacks a common understanding in the field of Design. Similarly, the approaches that assess it are not yet clear and systematized, often being confused with usability evaluations, which counts on systematized methods in the literature. In this context, the present study was aimed at a better understanding of user experience evaluation methods, considering the importance of the subject worldwide and especially the lack of scientific-academic publications in Brazil. Based on a review on the concept of user experience, the factors that influence it, the elements to be evaluated and the methods and tools to evaluate it, it was presented a way of evaluating user experience, consistent with the iterative development of a social mobile application. The evaluations were conducted in three stages, considering the elements: utility, usability, initial reactions, qualities of the interface, affect and need-fulfilment. The results emphasised the importance of such assessment methods in the aforementioned context, highlighting the need to involve users in the design of applications that seek to provide a good user experience. Thus, the study aimed to contribute towards the topic user experience nationwide as field of study and practice.
