Incentivo dos professores à leitura e ao uso da biblioteca na educação especial

Abstract

O incentivo à leitura na educação especial deve ser realizado tanto pelo professor quanto pelo bibliotecário, pois este incentivo pode ajudar as pessoas com deficiência em seu aprendizado não só na sala de aula, mas na vida social. O objetivo da pesquisa foi verificar quais os métodos de incentivo à leitura que são utilizados pelos professores da área de educação especial, na Fundação Catarinense de Educação Especial (FCEE) e o que utilizam para estimular os alunos a frequentarem a biblioteca. Para a fundamentação da pesquisa foi realizada uma revisão de literatura sobre os temas: pessoas com deficiência; a biblioteca, o bibliotecário e o incentivo à leitura e professores e o incentivo à leitura. A pesquisa foi de caráter exploratório e quali-quantitativa. O instrumento utilizado para a coleta de dados foi o questionário, aplicado com professores da FCEE. As considerações finais apontam que os professores não possuem projetos de incentivo à leitura junto a biblioteca, mas estes consideram que estes projetos, se existissem, seriam importantes para o aprendizado dos alunos com deficiência.

Encouraging reading in special education should be carried out by both the teacher and the librarian, because this incentive can help people with disabilities in their learning not only in the classroom but in social life. The objective of the research was to determine which methods of encouraging reading that are used by special education teachers in the area of Santa Catarina Foundation for Special Education (FCEE) and what use to encourage students to attend the library. To the grounds of research a literature review was performed on the subjects: people with disabilities; the library, the librarian and the encouragement of reading and teachers and encouraging reading. The research was exploratory and qualitative and quantitative character. The instrument used for data collection was the questionnaire, applied with FCEE teachers. The conclusions point, which include teachers do not have reading incentive projects with the library, but they consider that these projects, if there would be important to student learning disabled.
