Redes da internet como meio educativo sobre gordofobia

Abstract

O presente trabalho analisa como funcionam e como são formadas as redes da internet que informam sobre gordofobia, buscando entender seu potencial educacional bem como sua capacidade de gerar ativismo. Há contextualização dos movimentos que ocorreram no campo da saúde e no campo feminista em que a discussão sobre o corpo da mulher vem sendo aprofundada. Entende-se que o momento atual, que propicia a consolidação da luta contra a gordofobia, pode ser reconhecido como o que Sonia E. Alvarez classificou como o terceiro momento1 da trajetória feminista latinoamericana, o “sidestreaming”, ampliando o fluxo horizontal de discursos e práticas de feminismos mais diversos e plurais. Foi realizada a análise de conteúdo de 8 páginas virtuais sendo elas divididas em páginas de rede social (Facebook), grupo de rede social, blog e site. Foram entrevistadas oito mulheres ciberativistas responsáveis por gerar conteúdo para as páginas virtuais. Ao analisar o conteúdo das páginas virtuais, o mesmo foi dividido em 4 categorias: estética, saúde, acessibilidade e trabalho. São explorados os recursos didáticos que a internet proporciona, refletindo sobre as potencialidades e significados dessa educação a partir dos conceitos de desescolarização de Ivan Illich (1985) e de rede de Manuel Castells (1999; 2015; 2017), sendo este o cerne deste trabalho.

The present work analyzes how the internet networks that inform about fatphobia are formed, seeking to understand their educational potential as well as their capacity to generate activism. There is a contextualization of the movements that have occurred in the health field and in the feminist field in which the discussion about women's body has been deepened. It is understood that the current moment, which favors fight against fatphobia consolidation, can be recognized as what Sonia E. Alvarez (2015) classified as the third moment of the Latin American feminist trajectory, sidestreaming, increasing the horizontal flow of speeches and practices of more diverse and plural feminisms.. A content analysis of 8 virtual pages was performed, divided into social network pages (Facebook), social networking group, blog and website. Eight cyber-feminist women responsible for generating content for the virtual pages were interviewed. When analyzing the content of the virtual pages, it was divided into 4 categories: aesthetics, health, accessibility and work. The didactic resources provided by the Internet are explored, reflecting on the potentialities and meanings of this education, based on the concepts of Ivan Illich’s deschooling(1985) and Manuel Castell’s network (1999; 2015; 2017), which is the core of this work.
