Traduzir antipoesia: tradução comentada do espanhol para o português de Sermones y prédicas del cristo de Elqui de Nicanor Parra

Abstract

Esta dissertação se insere na área de tradução comentada de textos literários e se baseia na proposta de tradução para o português da obra de Nicanor Parra (1914-) Sermones y Prédicas del Cristo de Elqui, publicada em 1977. Os seguintes fatores se propõem como decisivos na tradução dessa obra e serão desenvolvidos no decorrer do trabalho: a) os elementos culturais, juntamente com a consideração de fatores históricos e políticos; b) o gênero discursivo em que se insere a obra, o sermão, com suas caraterísticas orais; c) o personagem enunciador dos sermões, que remete a um personagem histórico chileno, e que serve de máscara para a voz poética, colocando a obra na órbita do monólogo dramático; d) finalmente, a caraterização da obra como antipoesia e suas relações com o fenómeno poético e a linguagem usada. A reflexão teórica apoia-se nas considerações de Octavio Paz e Ezra Pound com respeito à escritura poética e à tradução. Serão seguidas as considerações de Henri Meschonnic para pensar a tradução do ritmo antipoético e destacar a oralidade desse texto. Finalmente, para comentar a especificidade cultural da obra contribuem as reflexões de Ovidi Carbonell i Cortés.<br>

Abstract : This work refers to the commented translation of literary texts and it is based on the proposal of translating to portuguese the Nicanor Perra?s (1914-) work called Sermones y Prédicas del Cristo de Elqui, published in 1977. The following considerations are decisive in the translation process and there will be discussions related to them in the course of this work: a) the cultural elements, along with the consideration of historical and political factors; b) the discursive genre in which the work is, the sermon, with its oral characteristics; c) the character who speaks the sermons, which refers to a Chilean historical figure and which works as a mask to the poetic voice, putting the work in the orbit of the dramatic monologue; d) finally, the work?s characterization as anti-poetry and its relation with the poetic phenomenon and the language used. The theoretical reflection is based on considerations of Octavio Paz and Ezra Pound in relation to poetic writings and translation process. It is also based on Henri Meschonic?s concepts to reflect on the translation of the anti-poetic rhythm and to emphasize the orality of the text. In conclusion, the Ovidi Carbonell I Cortés? reflections contribute to comment about the work?s cultural specificity.
