Ensinar mulheres na história: abordagens biográficas

Abstract

Este trabalho tem como foco o estudo da história das mulheres do período colonial brasileiro, na perspectiva da história social e cultural, com base em biografias e narrativas, tendo em vista sua inserção no ensino de história. Tem por objetivo principal colocar em evidência a importância e a responsabilidade de se ensinar mulheres na história por meio de abordagens biográficas, e ainda: refletir a respeito da história das mulheres como campo historiográfico; questionar as omissões e silenciamentos de mulheres na história, particularmente no período colonial; elaborar um levantamento de materiais para ensinar história das mulheres a partir da seleção de autores; organizar narrativas e biografias para compor um acervo que possibilite comparar diferentes realidades, com foco no período colonial brasileiro, considerando as mudanças e transformações que algumas mulheres vivenciaram em suas existências. Como metodologia, trabalha com a perspectiva da escrita de si para problematizar o uso de biografias em sala de aula e sugerir a criação de narrativas por parte das próprias professoras, autoras do saber histórico escolar. A escolha das biografias, assim como as temáticas abordadas, está baseada em análises de gênero, ao considerar os mecanismos simbólicos em torno das mulheres no período colonial brasileiro. Como produto final, este trabalho disponibiliza um site constituído por um acervo de materiais diversificados, que apresentam biografias selecionadas de mulheres do período colonial; textos temáticos; sugestões metodológicas e indicações bibliográficas diversas para consulta de professoras da educação básica, para que possam, em seu protagonismo, elaborar um material didático que inclua a história das mulheres no ensino.

Abstract : This work focuses on the study of the history of women from the Brazilian colonial period, from the perspective of social and cultural history, based on biographies and narratives, in view of their insertion in history teaching. Its main objective is to highlight the importance and responsibility of teaching women in history through biographical approaches, as well as to reflect on the history of women as a historiographic field; to question the omissions and silencing of women in history, particularly in the colonial period; to draw up a survey of materials to teach women's history from the selection of authors; organize narratives and biographies to compose a collection that allows comparing different realities, focusing on the Brazilian colonial period, considering the changes and transformations that some women experienced in their lives. As a methodology, it works with the perspective of self-writing to problematize the use of biographies in the classroom and suggest the creation of narratives by the teachers themselves, authors of the school's historical knowledge. The choice of biographies, as well as the themes addressed, is based on gender analysis, when considering the symbolic mechanisms around women in the Brazilian colonial period.
