A concepção de agroecologia na visão dos educadores e educadoras da Escola Municipal Oziel Alves (Açailândia-MA)

Abstract

O presente trabalho buscou discutir informações relevantes acerca da concepção de Agroecologia na visão dos educadores e educadoras da Escola Municipal Oziel Alves (Açailândia, Maranhão). Procurou-se analisar os documentos da referida Escola e localizar nestes a discussão da Agroecologia, bem como analisar a concepção da equipe pedagógica e docentes acerca da Agroecologia e como ela tem sido trabalhada nas séries finais do Ensino Fundamental. Para tanto, foi realizada uma análise dos planos de ensino e a prática de docência das disciplinas com alguma relação com a Agroecologia. A metodologia de pesquisa foi baseada na Observação Participante, nas Entrevistas Semiestruturadas com 8 entrevistados (professores, gestores e dirigente do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra - MST) e nas anotações em Caderno de Campo. Constatou-se que, por influência do MST, a Agroecologia está presente na escola desde a sua concepção, através do coletivo de educação e assessoria técnica do Movimento, por meio da discussão da transição da matriz produtiva atual para uma matriz de base agroecológica concomitante com a luta pela terra e com a efetivação da Reforma Agrária Popular. A temática da Agroecologia está presente no dia a dia da escola, sobretudo nas disciplinas de História, Geografia e Ciências. Ela também se manifesta através das místicas, palestras e seminários temáticos realizados periodicamente, envolvendo escola e comunidade. Apesar desta aproximação, há escassez na compreensão teórica do conceito Agroecologia entre os entrevistados; no entanto, comprovou-se que vários princípios e fundamentos desta encontram-se presentes, ainda que de forma bastante fragmentada, no imaginário dos entrevistados, existindo um nível de conhecimento diversificado sobre o tema. Percebeu-se, porém, que isso não se constitui em um problema que possa dificultar a adoção da Agroecologia por parte dos mesmos, em função da relação estreita entre os entrevistados e o MST e da discussão constante sobre Agroecologia. Mesmo com as limitações apresentadas, a pesquisa revela que a escola discute a temática e possui um quadro docente com elevado grau de formação ? situação atípica em relação às demais escolas do campo. Ainda que com pouca experiência com o ensino da Agroecologia, docentes e equipe pedagógica podem fazer a diferença no médio prazo, porém faz-se necessário avançar no entendimento da Agroecologia como abordagem e matriz pedagógica multidisciplinar, capaz de estabelecer diálogo entre disciplinas e com a comunidade de uma forma geral.

Abstract : This article sought to discuss relevant information about the concept of Agroecology according to the teaching staff of the Oziel Alves Municipal School (Açailândia, Maranhão). We tried to analyze the school's documents and find among them discussion about Agroecology, as well as analyze the concept that the pedagogical team and teachers have about Agroecology and how it has been addressed in the last years of Elementary School, and for that, we analyzed the teaching plans and the teaching practice of the disciplines related to Agroecology. The research methodology was based on Participant Observation, Semistructured Interviews with 8 people (teachers, managers, and the leader of the Landless Workers Movement - MST) and Field Notes. We observed that the Agroecology concept was present in the school since its beginning, by influence of the MST, through collective education and technical advice of the Movement, through the discussion of the transition from the current production model to a model based on Agroecology, together with the fight for land and the implementation of the Popular Agrarian Reform. The concept of Agroecology is present in the daily life of the school, especially in the following disciplines: History, Geography, and Sciences. It is also addressed through lectures, and thematic seminars held periodically, involving the school and the community. Regardless of these measures, there is a deficiency in the theoretical understanding of the Agroecology concept among the interviewees, however, we noticed that several principles and fundamentals of Agroecology are present in the minds of the people interviewed, although in a very fragmented way, thus showing the existence of a diversified level of knowledge on the subject. However, we noticed that this does not represent a problem that could hinder the adoption of Agroecology by this people, due to the close relationship between the interviewees and the MST and the constant discussion on Agroecology. Even with the limitations found, the research reveals that the school discusses the subject, and has a highly-trained teaching staff - an atypical situation when considering other schools in rural areas. Even though they have little experience teaching about Agroecology, teachers and pedagogical staff can make a difference in the medium term. However, it is necessary to promote the understanding of Agroecology as an approach and multidisciplinary pedagogical basis, that can establish a dialogue between disciplines and with the community in general.
