A mala de Jorge Amado revelada por imagens

Abstract

Esta pesquisa é centrada no estudo do Acervo A Mala de Jorge Amado 1941-1942 doado ao nuLIME (núcleo Literatura e Memória) em 2012, com 1.446 páginas sobre e contextualizando a vida do escritor Jorge Amado no exílio em Buenos Aires e Montevidéu. Minha leitura parte do trabalho iniciado no O (In)visível no Acervo Jorge Amado (1941-1942), feito em 2016, sobre os documentos imagéticos desse acervo. Como continuação e aperfeiçoamento, busco traçar a ideia de que a imagem não é somente um apêndice dentro do arquivo e da literatura, possuindo papel biográfico, histórico e subjetivo dentro e fora do arquivo. Seguindo uma nova metodologia de indexação no corpus das ilustrações, fotografias e imagens guardadas pelo escritor baiano, crio também uma Fotobiografia do Acervo, revelando as personas citadas com maior frequência nos documentos textuais, mostrando a relevância do registro de militantes que foram perseguidos na tentativa de serem apagados por sua ideologia, assim como jornais e revistas, endereços e o registro visual dessa história que é registrada através do papel, das palavras, e, agora, das imagens, buscando a ideia arquivística do arquivo como um todo.

Abstract: This research is centered in the study of the collection A Mala de Jorge Amado 1941-1942 donated to nuLIME (Centre of Literature and Memory) in 2012, with 1.446 pages about Jorge Amado?s and contextualizing his life at his exile in Buenos Aires and Montevideo. My lecture begins with the work started in O (In)visível no Acervo Jorge Amado (1941-1942), done in 2016, about the imagery documents of this collection. As continuing and improvement, I search to trace the idea of the image not only as an appendix in the archive and the literature, but containing biographic, historical and subjective role in and out the archive. Following a new methodology of indexation in the corpus of the illustrations, photos and images saved by the Bahian writer, I also create a Photobiography of the collection, revealing the personas mentioned with more frequency in the textual documents, showing the relevancy in the records of the militants persecuted in an attempt to being raised because of their ideology, with newspapers and magazines, addresses and the visual records of that history that is recorded by paper, words, and, now, by the images looking for the archival idea of the archive as a whole.
