Pãn Vanh - rastros: vídeo-carta para meu avô, Orlando Mongconãnn, e memorial

Abstract

O vento não trouxe só uma semente, junto dele vieram as lembranças, memórias e diversas narrativas a respeito de um passado que deixou marcas e rastros. O texto desta dissertação de mestrado constitui um memorial descritivo do processo de elaboração do curta-metragem Pãn Vanh ? rastros, que utiliza a linguagem de vídeo-carta em uma homenagem post mortem para meu avô Orlando Mongconãnn, indígena pertencente ao povo Laklãnõ/Xokleng. O estudo dos registros fotográficos do álbum de família conformou o ponto de partida dessa pesquisa que me levou gradualmente a ver a memória como metodologia em meu fazer ?antropologia em casa?. No processo da pesquisa foi crucial, de um lado, as trocas com minha mãe que fez longos relatos, as conversas com meu pai e as considerações de alguns familiares depois de mostrar uma versão inicial do curta-metragem, e por outro lado foi também crucial (re)visitar e interagir com alguns lugares que meu avô percorreu e viveu durante sua permanência nesse mundo. Assim, fortes ventos soprarão e levarão folhas, imagens e lembranças na busca de uma aproximação entre dois mundos, o dos vivos e dos mortos.

Abstract: The wind didn't just bring a seed, along with it came memories and various narratives about a past that left marks and traces. The text of this master's dissertation constitutes a descriptive memorial of the short film elaboration process ?Pãn Vanh ? rastros?, who uses video-letter language in a post mortem tribute to my grandfather Orlando Mongconãnn, an indigenous who belonged to the Laklãnõ/Xokleng people. The study of photographic records from the family album formed the starting point of this research that gradually led me to see memories as a methodology in my doing ?anthropology at home?. In the research process it was crucial, on the one hand, the exchanges with my mother who made long reports, the conversations with my father and the considerations of some family members after showing an initial version of the short film, and on the other hand it was also crucial to revisit and interact with some places my grandfather visited and lived in during his stay in this world.
