O desencantamento do mundo na obra de Max Weber: A controvérsia brasileira

Abstract

A monografia pretende tratar do conceito de “Desencantamento do Mundo” formulado por Max Weber. O primeiro capítulo se concentra em explorar a teoria weberiana da modernidade, a evolução do conceito em questão na obra de Max Weber e sua trajetória. O segundo capítulo é dedicado para a discussão da epistemologia do termo estudado. E no terceiro capítulo examinamos o debate sobre o re-encantamento do mundo, conceito originado a partir do conceito principal. O objetivo central da presente monografia é sistematizar as discussões atuais do conceito weberiano de desencantamento do mundo com um recorte temporal pós-Pierucci. Para realizá-lo, o estudo subdivide-se em três objetivos específicos: compreender e analisar as duas vias de significado, histórico-religioso e histórico-científico, justificar a fixação de uma definição fundante para o termo e por fim examinar os argumentos usados no debate sobre a possibilidade de reencantamento do mundo. Para tanto foi realizada uma pesquisa transversal de profundidade combinada com uma análise estrutural monográfica, tendo como inspiração o estudo histórico-social das ideias.

The monograph intends to deal with the concept of “Disenchantment of the World” formulated by Max Weber. The first chapter focuses on exploring Weber's theory of modernity, the evolution of the concept and its trajectory. The second chapter is dedicated to the discussion of the term's epistemology. And in the third chapter we examine the debate over the re-enchantment of the world. The main objective of this monograph is to systematize the current discussions of the Weberian concept of world disenchantment with a post-Pierucci time frame. To accomplish it, the study is divided into three specific objectives: understanding and analyzing the two ways of meaning, historical-religious and historical-scientific, justifying the establishment of a founding definition for the term and, finally, examining the arguments used in the debate about the possibility of re-enchantment of the world. For this purpose, an in-depth cross-sectional survey was carried out, combined with a monographic structural analysis, inspired by the historical-social study of ideas.
