This research aims to discuss the process of regionalization of the energy distribution system,
using Centrais Elétricas de Santa Catarina (CELESC) as a case study. Contel's (2015)
proposal to study regionalization in health from a combination of concepts that emphasize the
natural, nodal and productive region was applied to study energy distribution. To achieve the
objective, a brief historical evolution of the development of energy in Brazil and Santa Catarina,
a survey of data and literature was carried out. In view of the results found, we aim to list
possible successes and mistakes made by CELESC to ensure an improvement in the
relationship with the public that consumes energy in the state. Among the findings of the
research, it was observed the presence of elements from the natural, nodal and productive
region in the energy distribution process among them: consumer units, kilometers of low and
medium voltage lines, geoelectric location and regionalized electrical system. In relation to the
elements of the natural region, the “pass-fauna” stand out in the AR of Blumenau; as for nodal
region elements, the initial creation of the Regional Distribution Department in 1982, followed
by three alterations that sought to adapt the branch structure to the needs of the company and
the clientele, and, finally, as for the productive region, there is evidence of a technical density
in RAs that are located in the corridor that concentrates ports, manufacturing, industrial and
commercial centers, as well as the perenniality of the energy supply. |
