A Producooper e a sustentabilidade da agricultura familiar no município de Jaguaruna - SC

Abstract

A agricultura familiar é um segmento que contribui para o desenvolvimento econômico e social do país. As cooperativas de pequeno porte são organizações que atuam diretamente no fomento deste processo, pois desempenham um papel fundamental para viabilizar a sustentabilidade das unidades familiares de produção na agricultura. O presente estudo tem como objetivo compreender a importância da cooperativa Producooper para o desenvolvimento da agricultura familiar na região de Jaguaruna-SC. Dessa maneira, foram utilizados os procedimentos metodológicos do estudo de caso e da entrevista estruturada para analisar a realidade estudada. Os resultados e a discussão deste estudo permeiam dois focos principais: a identificação dos papéis desempenhados pela Producooper para a sustentabilidade das unidades produtivas e a visão dos gestores da cooperativa sobre o papel organizacional da mesma. Nesta pesquisa foi possível perceber que a inserção do agricultor familiar à cooperativa possibilitou a melhoria da renda, a estabilidade e prosperidade das unidades produtivas, o que permite entender a cooperativa como uma instituição que contribui para o fortalecimento e a sustentabilidade da agricultura familiar.

Family farming is a segment that contributes to the economic and social development of the country. Small cooperatives are organizations that act directly to promote this process, as they play a fundamental role in making viable the sustainability of family production units in agriculture. This study aims to understand the importance of the Producooper cooperative for the development of family farming in the region of Jaguaruna-SC. In this way, the methodological procedures of the case study and the structured interview were used to analyze the studied reality. The results and the discussion of this study permeate two main foci: the identification of the roles played by Producooper for the sustainability of the productive units and the vision of the cooperative managers about its organizational role. In this research, it was possible to perceive that the insertion of the family farmer in the cooperative enabled the improvement of income, the stability and prosperity of the productive units, which allows us to understand the cooperative as an institution that contributes to the strengthening and sustainability of family agriculture.
