Avaliação da utilização de um desarenador com chicanas desenvolvido para a remoção de partículas sólidas em efluente de lavagem de equipamentos em canteiro de obra

Abstract

The industrial effluents produced in construction sites are responsibility of the own company and should be treated properly. However, many times this effluents do not receive the suitable treatment nor the adequate disposal, which may contaminate the environment. In order to mitigate this situation, some treatments system is being developed and deployed in construction site and concrete factories. The objective of this study was to analyze the efficiency of degritter installed in the Department of Civil Engineering of the University Center Philadelphia in Londrina-PR, developed to treat the effluent generated in this place. Were collected samples from two points of the system funnel (entry and exit), being later realized solids, pH, alcalinity and Imhoff cone tests, according with APHA (2005), to analyze their characteristics. The results obtained indicated a considerable removal of solids, with an efficiency up to 98% for total solids, indicating the efficacy of this treatment system.
