Tecnologias de controle, fabricação de subjetividades e sujeição de gênero: um estudo a partir do Cemitério Municipal de Indaial/SC

Abstract

É possível compreender que as concepções e práticas da morte, do morrer, o destino dos corpos, os locais de sepultamento e as tradições fúnebres, como se apresentam na contemporaneidade, encontram-se circunscritas numa perspectiva e trajetória histórica das sociedades, que foram plasmadas no entrecruzamento de condicionantes políticos, econômicos, religiosos, sociais, culturais, entre outros; assim como os cemitérios constituem lugares de memória; que os jazigos, as casas e as lápides, junto aos itens e conteúdos dispostos neles, tais como os dados biográficos (nome e sobrenome, data de nascimento e falecimento), retratos, imagens, frases, esculturas, entre outros, representam suportes e referências de memória e de identidade. Supondo que os cemitérios, os quais são regidos por legislações e conjuntos de procedimentos veiculados e deliberados pelo poder público municipal, caracterizam práticas de biopolítica, tecnologias de controle e relações de poder, almeja-se verificar se as tecnologias de controle, implementadas por meio de legislações que recaem aos usuários dos cemitérios públicos, impactam as tradições e os costumes relacionados à morte e ao morrer. Problematiza-se que as previsões das legislações para com os cemitérios, que os conteúdos dispostos sobre os jazigos e no interior das casas e que as práticas de manutenção dos jazigos e dos conteúdos sugerem relações de poder e de gênero, e que a fabricação das subjetividades dos indivíduos pode ser responsável por ilustrar e traduzir relações de sujeição das mulheres. Para verificar, analisar e refletir essas hipóteses e problematizações, como campo de pesquisa foi escolhido o Cemitério Municipal de Indaial/SC; as legislações vigentes que o regem; as imagens dos conteúdos que se encontram dispostos junto a seus jazigos e suas lápides; seus epitáfios, tais como dados biográficos, paramentos, simbologias, entre outros; o conteúdo de entrevistas de pessoas que possuem experiências de morte no quadro familiar e de funcionários que atuam na administração dos cemitérios da cidade de Indaial.

Abstract: It is possible to understand that the conceptions and practices of death, dying, the fate of bodies, burial places and funeral traditions, as they are presented in contemporary times, are circumscribed in a perspective and historical trajectory of societies, which were shaped in the intersection of psychological, psychological, religious, social, cultural conditions, among others; just as cemeteries are places of memory; that the tombs, houses and tombstones, together with the items and contents received in them, such as biographical data (name and surname, date of birth and death), portraits, images, phrases, sculptures, among others, represent supports and references memory and identity. Assuming that the cemeteries, which are governed by legislation and sets of procedures conveyed and deliberated by the municipal public power, characterize practices of biopolitics, control technologies and power relations, the aim is to verify whether the control technologies, incorporated through legislations that fall to the users of public cemeteries, impact the traditions and customs related to death and dying. It is problematized that the predictions of legislation regarding cemeteries, that the contents on the tombs and inside the houses and that the practices of maintenance of the tombs and contents provide relations of power and gender, and that the instruction of the subjectivities of the individuals may be responsible for illustrating and translating women's subjection relationships. To verify, analyze and reflect on these hypotheses and problematizations, the Municipal Cemetery of Indaial/SC was chosen as a research field; the legislation in force that governs it; the images of the contents that are arranged next to their vaults and tombstones; their epitaphs, such as biographical data, vestments, symbols, among others; the content of interviews with people who have experiences of death in the family and with employees who participate in the administration of cemeteries in the city of Indaial.
