Clareamento dental caseiro e de consultório. Eficácia, tempo de tratamento e sensibilidade. Revisão de literatura.

Abstract

Com a busca cada vez maior pela estética perfeita, o clareamento dental tem se mostrado uma forma muito segura e eficiente em alcançar esses resultados. Com isso o objetivo desse trabalho foi revisar a literatura sobre as técnicas de clareamento em dentes vitais, comparando a técnica caseira e técnica de consultório, quanto aos seus efeitos adversos, principalmente a sensibilidade, o tempo de tratamento e os resultados alcançados quanto a estética da cor. Para isso, foram utilizadas as bases de dados do PubMed e BVS com os descritores “tooth sensitivity, Tooth Whitening, teeth bleaching, at-home dental bleaching e in-office tooth bleaching”, nos últimos 10 anos. Foram encontrados 265 artigos, e desses foram incluídos 36 artigos. Ambas as técnicas se apresentaram seguras e eficientes na entrega de resultados, contudo a técnica de clareamento em consultório mostrou maior incidência de sensibilidade, mas com o profissional tendo um maior controle do procedimento.

With the increasing search for perfect aesthetics, tooth whitening has proven to be a very safe and efficient way to achieve these results. Therefore, the objective of this work was to review the literature on whitening techniques in vital teeth, comparing the home technique and the in-office technique, regarding their adverse effects, mainly sensitivity, treatment time and the results achieved in terms of aesthetics. color.
