Title: Authorial fashion – a concept under construction and its possible relations with Sustainability
Author: Melo, Jaqueline Ferreira Holanda de; Cavalcanti, Virginia Pereira
Abstract: News and studies on the serious problems that the Textile, Apparel and Fashion Chain has in relation to the environment are recurrent. Authorial Fashion has shown itself to be a potential field in which more sustainable paths have been thought and followed. The present work, coming from a doctoral research pilot (in progress), deals with a systematic literature review (RSL) about the understandings about the Authorial Fashion, considering possible links to Sustainability. After the RSL, it was possible to realize that the concept is dynamic and is still under debate. When it comes to sustainability, the association is not always made. And a passive point seems to be creative dimension and the uniqueness of what is produced, as well as the marking of locality.
