Abstract

o presente trabalho consiste de urna revisão da literatura que pretende abordar o fenômeno físico da luz e o processo de formação das cores, a forma como o olho humano vê as ondas luminosas e o processo pelo qual estas mesmas ondas são refletidas ou absorvidas e retornam aos nossos olhos em forma de cores. Esclarecer de que forma a luz atravessa e se difunde no dente natural e o que é preciso para imitar este mecanismo em porcelanas dentais puras ou sobre metal para que se possa construir restaurações que sejam estéticas e que se integrem ao sorriso de forma harmônica.

The present paper is based in the revision of the literature wich main objective is the study of the physical phenomenon of light and the process of building the color, the way that the human eyes see the lig,htwaves and the process that the same lightwaves are absorved or reflected and how the eyes get back the lightwaves in the shape of colors. Explain how the light can get through and to difine in the natural tooth; also what is necessary to imitate this mechanisms in methaloceramics crowns or aliceramics crowns, making possible restorations that can be esthetics and to be part of a smile in a harmonic way.
