Transporte aéreo de passageiros no Brasil: dinâmicas regionais e estratégias logísticas

Abstract

O transporte aéreo de passageiros molda dinâmicas urbanas e regionais, intensificando contrastes territoriais. No Brasil, a recente centralização dos fluxos reflete um processo histórico e dialético, marcado pelas estratégias articuladas entre o Estado e as corporações. Esta tese analisa a organização da aviação comercial brasileira à luz da formação socioespacial, considerando a abrangência territorial e a necessidade de políticas públicas no contexto nacional. Com base em abordagens qualitativa e quantitativa, aliadas à revisão bibliográfica e aos trabalhos de campo, identificaram-se fatores como desregulamentação, popularização, hubs aéreos, crescimento econômico e concessões aeroportuárias como modeladores fundamentais do transporte aéreo brasileiro. A pesquisa constatou que a reestruturação da aviação regional no início do século XXI reconfigurou sistemas organizacionais e a conectividade aérea, destacando desafios para a promoção de um serviço mais equitativo e inclusivo.

Abstract: air passenger transport shapes urban and regional dynamics, intensifying territorial contrasts. In Brazil, the recent centralization of air flows reflects a historical and dialectical process shaped by the strategies of the State and corporations. This dissertation examines the organization of Brazilian commercial aviation through the lens of socio-spatial formation, considering territorial coverage and the need for public policies in the national context. Based on qualitative and quantitative approaches, along with a literature review and fieldwork, factors such as deregulation, popularization, air hubs, economic growth, and airport concessions were identified as key drivers of Brazilian air transport. The research found that the restructuring of regional aviation in the early 21st century reconfigured organizational systems and air connectivity, highlighting challenges for the promotion of a more equitable and inclusive service.
