Facetas cerâmicas em dentes anteriores fraturados

Abstract

A fratura em dentes anteriores ocorre muito nos dias de hoje, tanto em crianças e adultos jovens, quanto em pessoas de idade mais avançada. A lesão acomete mais esmalte e dentina, sem envolvimento pulpar. 0 tratamento destas injúrias representa, muitas vezes, um desafio ao clínico, pois reproduzir as características originais do dente depende do material utilizado, da técnica escolhida e da seleção correta do caso. Colagem do fragmento e restauração direta com resina composta, dentro de suas indicações e limitações, apresentam um ótimo resultado imediato e a médio prazo, porém não proporcionam uma longevidade clínica satisfatória. As facetas de cerâmica mostraram um ótimo resultado na restauração de dentes anteriores fraturados, restabelecendo a biomecânica e a estética semelhante ao dente original, e apresentando um resultado biomimético superior aos outros tratamentos abordados neste trabalho.

The fracture on anterior teeth occurs much nowadays, both in children and young adults, as in people from older. The injury affects more enamel and dentin, without pulpal involvement. The treatment of these insults is often a challenge to the clinical therefore reproduce the original characteristics of the tooth depends on the material used, the technique chosen and the correct selection of the case. Collage of the fragment and direct restorations with resin composite, in its indications and limitations, have a great results in immediate and medium term, but does not provide a satisfactory clinical longevity. The ceramic veneer showed a great result in the restoration of fractured anterior teeth, restoring the biomechanics and the aesthetics similar to the original tooth, and presenting a biomimetic result superior to the other treatments addressed in this work.
