Abstract

Nos últimos anos, os materiais cerâmicos utilizados em Odontologia sofreram melhoramentos em relação à sua composição química e física,permitindo ao Cirurgião Dentista utilizá-los com maior frequência nos consultórios dentários. melhoramento das coroas de porcelana pura vem ao encontro do grande desejo do paciente por estética, pois a cerâmica oferece cor, translucidez e naturalidade que nenhum outro material odontológico ainda possui. Entretanto, as restaurações em cerâmica pura possuem algumas limitações como a contração e a resistência à fratura. Recentemente, alterações na estrutura básica das cerâmicas têm propiciado a obtenção de novos compostos, com os quais tem sido possível realizar Restaurações livres de metal. Dentro deste novo contexto, cerâmicas vítreas injetadas foram introduzidas no mercado com as vantagens da técnica da cera perdida, que permitiu uma excelente precisão marginal. Nota-se, então, a importância crescente do estudo destes materiais para que possam ser corretamente utilizados no dia-a-dia do consultório odontológico. Este trabalho propõe uma revisão da literatura dos últimos anos sobre as cerâmicas injetadas, ressaltando suas vantagens, indicações, composição, fabricação, classificação e também suas limitações.

In the last few years dental ceramics had suffered improvements in relation to its chemical and physical composition, allowing their use in the dental offices more frequently. The improvement of the all ceramic crowns comes to the meeting of the great desire of the patient for aesthetic, therefore the ceramics offer color, translucency and naturalness that none other dental material still possess. However, the all ceramic restorations have some limitations like the contraction and the resistance to fracture. Recently, alterations in the basic structure of ceramics have propitiated the attainment of new materials, with which it has been possible to carry through metal free restorations. In this context, pressed ceramics had been introduced in the market with the advantages of the technique of the lost wax, that allowed excellent margin precision. It's noticed, the increasing importance of the study of these materials, so that they can be used correctly in the dental office's routine. The aim of this study is to provide a revision of the last years literature on pressed ceramics, standing out its advantages, indications, composition, manufacture, classification and also its limitations.
