Sintomas depressivos e ansiosos em mulheres submetidas à histerectomia: uma revisão sistemática da literatura.

Abstract

Introdução: A histerectomia é prática recorrente nas cirurgias ginecológicas e pode gerar repercussões psicológicas importantes na vida da mulher, incluindo sintomas ansiosos e/ou depressivos. No Brasil poucas produções abordam o tema, sendo necessários mais estudos para entender o impacto dessa cirurgia no país e, a partir disso, proporcionar um atendimento e seguimento humanizado para mulheres que serão submetidas a esse procedimento. Objetivo: O estudo teve por objetivo analisar, por meio da revisão de literatura, a presença de sintomas depressivos e ansiosos em mulheres submetidas à histerectomia. Métodos: Foi realizada uma revisão sistemática, utilizando as bases de dados LILACS, SciELO, MedLine, BVS e PubMed. A seleção dos estudos foi realizada por meio da leitura de títulos, resumos e textos completos. Foram incluídos estudos disponíveis na íntegra, nos idiomas português, inglês e espanhol, e publicações associadas à pergunta norteadora: “A histerectomia está associada a sintomas depressivos e ansiosos em mulheres submetidas a esse procedimento?” Resultados: De 352 artigos encontrado, 9 foram incluídos na revisão por atenderem aos critérios de elegibilidade. Conclusão: Conclui-se que, apesar de carecer de mais estudos sobre o tema, grande parte das mulheres submetidas à histerectomia apresentam maior risco de desenvolver sintomas depressivos e ansiosos. Destaca-se a importância de considerar o contexto cultural, bem como o apoio familiar e a abordagem profissional durante o pré e o pós-operatório, a fim de minimizar os impactos psicológicos nas pacientes.

Introduction: Hysterectomy is a common practice in gynecological surgeries and can generate significant psychological repercussions in women's lives, including symptoms of anxiety and/or depression. In Brazil, few studies have addressed the subject, and more studies are needed to understand the impact of this surgery in the country and, from there, provide humanized care and monitoring to women who will undergo this procedure. Objective: The study aimed to analyze, through a literature review, the presence of depressive and anxious symptoms in women undergoing hysterectomy. Methods: A systematic review was performed using the LILACS, SciELO, MedLine, BVS and PubMed databases. The studies were selected by reading titles, abstracts and full texts. Studies available in full, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, and publications associated with the guiding question: "Is hysterectomy associated with depressive and anxious symptoms in women undergoing this procedure?" were selected. Results: Of the 352 articles found, 9 were included in the review because they met the eligibility criteria. Conclusion: It was concluded that, despite the scarcity of more in-depth studies on the subject, most women undergoing hysterectomy have a higher risk of developing depressive and anxious symptoms. The importance of considering the cultural context, as well as family support and professional approach during the pre- and postoperative periods, is emphasized in order to minimize the psychological impacts on patients.
