Olhar feminino, ancestralidade, tradição, corporalidade e empoderamento em literaturas afro-diaspóricas: Um ensaio a partir de Niketche, Ponciá Vicêncio e Flô de Agotimé

Abstract

Este trabalho propõe uma leitura da obra Niketche: Uma História de Poligamia, de Paulina Chiziane, em articulação com Ponciá Vicêncio, de Conceição Evaristo, a partir da perspectiva de uma voz feminina ficcional, Flô de Agotimé, que assume a função de leitora-crítica e per sonagem pensante. Por meio de um percurso ensaístico, entrelaçam-se temas como patriarca do, masculinidade, poligamia, ancestralidade, escrevivência e gozo, em diálogo com autoras e autores do pensamento africano e afro-diaspórico, como Oyèrónké Oyěwùmí, Alcinda Honwana, Muniz Sodré, Joice Berth e Rhuann Fernandes. A leitura se concentra nas estraté gias narrativas de Chiziane e Evaristo para desestabilizar modelos patriarcais e coloniais de organização social e subjetiva, evidenciando os efeitos históricos da dominação sobre os cor pos e as experiências das mulheres negras, em contextos africanos e afro-brasileiros. Enquan to a instituição poligâmica no sul de Moçambique serve de metáfora para as dinâmicas de silenciamento e fragmentação do feminino em Niketche, a solidão e o esvaziamento subjetivo vividos por Ponciá revelam os impactos da desigualdade racial e de gênero no Brasil. O texto tensiona as fronteiras entre tradição e modernidade, silêncio e palavra, corpo e território, reve lando como a escrita pode se tornar espaço de restituição da voz, da memória e da experiência das mulheres negras. A dança Niketche e o barro moldado por Ponciá emergem como metáfo ras de insurgência e reconexão com as raízes. Nesse processo, a crítica de Flô de Agotimé ilumina o gesto de ressignificar o feminino em meio às ruínas do patriarcado e da colonialida de, propondo a escrita como forma de herança, cura e reencantamento.

This work proposes a critical reading of the novel Niketche: A Story of Polygamy, by Paulina Chiziane, in articulation with Ponciá Vicêncio, by Conceição Evaristo, from the perspective of a fictional female voice, Flô de Agotimé, who takes on the role of critical reader and think ing character. Through an essayistic journey, themes such as patriarchy, masculinity, polyga my, ancestry, escrevivência, and pleasure are interwoven, in dialogue with authors and think ers of African and Afro-diasporic thought, such as Oyèrónké Oyěwùmí, Alcinda Honwana, Muniz Sodré, Joice Berth, and Rhuann Fernandes. The reading focuses on the narrative strat egies of Chiziane and Evaristo to destabilize patriarchal and colonial models of social and subjective organization, highlighting the historical effects of domination over the bodies and experiences of Black women in African and Afro-Brazilian contexts. While the institution of polygamy in southern Mozambique serves as a metaphor for the dynamics of silencing and fragmentation of the feminine in Niketche, the solitude and subjective emptiness experienced by Ponciá reveal the impacts of racial and gender inequality in Brazil. The text tenses the boundaries between tradition and modernity, silence and word, body and territory, revealing how writing can become a space for the restitution of voice, memory, and the lived experience of Black women. The Niketche dance and the clay molded by Ponciá emerge as metaphors of insurgency and reconnection with ancestral roots. In this process, Flô de Agotimé’s critique illuminates the gesture of re-signifying the feminine amid the ruins of patriarchy and colonial ity, proposing writing as a form of heritage, healing, and re-enchant
