Relatório de estágio curricular obrigatório em clínica médica de pequenos animais

Abstract

O Estágio Curricular Obrigatório é uma etapa indispensável na formação do médico-veterinário, possibilitando ao estudante a oportunidade da aplicação prática dos conhecimentos adquiridos durante toda a graduação. Essa experiência também permite o desenvolvimento de habilidades clínicas, a interação com profissionais de diversas áreas e a vivência no ambiente de trabalho na especialidade de interesse do discente. Nesse caso, o estágio foi voltado à área de Clínica Médica de Pequenos Animais e realizado na Clínica Bicho de Estimação em Joinville (SC), totalizando uma carga horária de 482 horas. Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar a estrutura e funcionamento da concedente, relatar as atividades desenvolvidas pela estagiária e descrever os principais casos clínicos acompanhados ao longo do estágio. Os casos mais frequentemente acompanhados durante o estágio envolveram o sistema tegumentar, com destaque para afecções compatíveis com dermatite atópica, além de alterações envolvendo os sistemas gastrointestinal e geniturinário. Conclui-se que a realização do estágio na área de clínica médica de pequenos animais contribui para a integração entre o conhecimento teórico e prático adquiridos durante a graduação, além da experiência de convívio com os profissionais e tutores, contribuíram para a formação acadêmica.

The Mandatory Curricular Internship is an essential step in the training of veterinarians, providing students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired throughout their undergraduate studies in practice. This experience also allows students to develop clinical skills, interact with professionals from different areas, and experience the work environment in the specialty of interest to the student. In this case, the internship was focused on the area of Small Animal Clinical Medicine and was carried out at the Clínica Bicho de Estimação in Joinville (SC), totaling 482 hours of work.
