Relatório de estágio curricular obrigatório em clínica médica e cirúrgica de pequenos animais

Abstract

O presente relatório descreve as atividades realizadas no estágio curricular obrigatório em Medicina Veterinária pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), onde o estágio foi dividido em duas etapas, sendo a primeira realizada na FMVZ/UNESP campus de Botucatu e a segunda no Hospital Veterinário HOSVET também no município de Botucatu. Ao final do estágio foram acompanhados um total de 233 pacientes, essa variedade possibilitou ao acadêmico uma vivência ampla nos mais diversos sistemas acometidos e com diversos profissionais, sendo este período da graduação fundamental para o crescimento pessoal e profissional dos acadêmicos. A rotina diversa de ambos os locais permitiram uma vivência e contato com pessoas de diversas realidades, ajudando no crescimento pessoal e profissional. O estágio possibilitou uma comparação entre os ambientes público e privado, além de uma vivência da rotina de um programa de residência, além de pôr todo conhecimento obtido ao longo da graduação em prática possibilitando um aprendizado ainda maior.

The present report describes the activities carried out during the mandatory curricular internship in Veterinary Medicine at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). The internship was divided into two stages: the first conducted at the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of São Paulo State University (FMVZ/UNESP), Botucatu campus, and the second at HOSVET Veterinary Hospital, also located in the municipality of Botucatu. A total of 233 patients were attended during the internship, providing the student with a broad clinical experience across different affected systems and the opportunity to work alongside various professionals. This period of the program was essential for both personal and professional development. The diverse routines of both institutions offered exposure to people from different backgrounds, fostering significant personal and professional growth. This experience allowed for a comparison between public and private environments, provided insight into the routine of a residency program, and enabled the application of knowledge acquired throughout the degree, thereby enhancing the overall learning process.
