Construção de um projeto pedagógico para o ensino do ciclo socioambiental dos fármacos no Ensino Fundamental

Abstract

A presente pesquisa teve como tema a Educação em Farmacologia voltada para os Anos Finais do Ensino Fundamental e sua parte prática foi desenvolvida na Escola Básica Municipal Maria Conceição Nunes, localizada no bairro Rio Vermelho, região leste da Ilha de Santa Catarina. Os participantes foram os estudantes do 9° ano, matriculados no período vespertino. O problema da pesquisa consistiu em verificar se os estudantes deste segmento escolar, adolescentes na faixa etária dos 15 anos, entendem que os fármacos podem afetar o meio ambiente, depois de cumprirem seu papel no organismo humano. Com o objetivo de promover a compreensão do ciclo socioambiental dos fármacos foi desenvolvida uma sequência didática investigativa, fundamentada em Carvalho, 2013) ao longo de seis semanas, no 1° semestre letivo de 2024. Para testar a hipótese de que os estudantes do 9° do EF não têm uma percepção aprofundada das relações entre a sua saúde física e mental, com a saúde ambiental foi realizado um estudo não randomizado de antes e depois. As respostas obtidas através do questionário de pesquisa foram avaliadas comparando os dois momentos, antes e após desenvolvida a intervenção pedagógica. Os resultados extraídos das análises qualitativa e quantitativa evidenciaram uma percepção inicial dos participantes sobre a temática sendo construída à partir de saberes prévios de forma incipiente, isto é, em processo de passagem de uma experiência espontânea para uma experiência científica. Estes resultados corroboram com trabalhos anteriores, bem como, demonstram a relevância de novos trabalhos nesta linha de pesquisa em levar a temática dos fármacos para ser discutida e aprofundada com este público.

Abstract: The present research had as its theme Pharmacology Education aimed at the Final Years of Elementary School and its practical part was developed at the Maria Conceição Nunes Municipal Elementary School, located in the Rio Vermelho neighborhood, east region of Santa Catarina Island. The participants were 9th grade students, enrolled in the afternoon period. The research problem consisted of verifying whether students in this school segment, adolescents aged 15, understand that drugs can affect the environment, after fulfilling their role in the human organism. With the aim of promoting understanding of the socio-environmental cycle of pharmaceuticals, an investigative didactic sequence was developed over six weeks, in the first semester of 2024. To test the hypothesis that 9th grade EF students do not have an in-depth perception of the relationships between their physical and mental health, with environmental health, a non-randomized before and after study was carried out. The responses obtained through the research questionnaire were evaluated by comparing the two moments, before and after the pedagogical intervention was developed. The results extracted from the qualitative and quantitative analyses showed an initial perception of the participants on the theme being constructed from prior knowledge, although in an incipient way. These results corroborate previous studies and demonstrate the relevance of new studies in this line of research in bringing the topic of drugs to be discussed and deepened with this audience.
