Jornalismo e intuição: uma relação pela fotografia

Abstract

No contato com as práticas fotográficas e jornalísticas cresceu a suspeita de que a intuição está presente em ambas. O fotógrafo Henri Cartier-Bresson confirma a suposição de que é por intuição que se captura a composição do instante fotográfico. Considera-se que a imagem fotográfica não apresenta o intuitivo, mas indícios de sua existência. Portanto, começa-se a investigar o objeto de pesquisa: o rastro intuitivo na fotografia jornalística. Procura-se saber como encontrar tal rastro na superfície da imagem. Um dos objetivos, o de identificar procedimentos de encontro de vestígios da intuição na fotografia jornalística, é contemplado pelo próprio método. Portanto, segue-se por caminhos metodológicos próprios, a partir de três categorias de análise: síntese, singular e metáfora. A elaboração dessa tríade é uma interpretação da ideia de intuição em Henri Bergson. Tais categorias são observadas em seis imagens de fotógrafos e meios jornalísticos diferentes. In contact with journalistics and photographics practices, it was grown the suspicion that intuition makes itself present in both of them. The photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson confirms the supposition that the capture and composition of the photographic instant is made by intuition. It is considered that intuition is not presented in photography; however, photography still shows evidences of its existence. Therefore, begins the research, based on the intuitive trace in the journalistic photography. This research aims to know how to find that trace in the image. One of the objectives, that intends to identify procedures of finding intuition vestiges in the journalistc photography, is contemplated by the methodology. This way, the research follows its own methods, beginning with tree analytic categories: synthesis, singular, and metaphor. Those categories were generated as an interpretation of the intuition idea created by Henri Bergson. The categories are observed through six images made by different photographers and published in several journalistics periodics. Journalism is a knowledge of the singular, as says Adelmo Genro Filho. With that in mind, it is possible to accomplish another objective: to comprehend the relation between the presence of intuition in journalism and photography.
