Estudo da eficiência energética em sistemas de informação: focado em um sistema de gerenciamento de filas

Abstract

O aprimoramento do uso de energia elétrica, entendido como um aumento de eficiência energética, é tema que constantemente entra em pauta, visando atender a demanda criada para este segmento de mercado. Neste trabalho serão apresentados conceitos e ponderações sobre a eficiência energética em sistemas de informação e sua potencial capacidade em reduzir o consumo energético na área, de forma mais específica, focada em um sistema de gerenciamento de fila. Os resultados obtidos permitem demonstrar que o consumo final de energia apresentou redução de 88,48% no servidor e 38,9% no módulo emissor de senha. Concluindo, teremos a demonstração de que o aumento da eficiência energética do setor de Tecnologia da Informação (TI), especificamente neste caso do gerenciamento de fila, constitui uma necessidade devido ao grande número de usuários destes sistemas.

The increase of improvement on the use of electricity can be understood as an increase in energy efficiency, is a subject that constantly comes up on the agenda in order to meet with the demand created for this market segment. On this work will be presented concepts and considerations on energy efficiency in information systems and its potential to reduce energy consumption, specifically focused on a public attendance management system. The results obtained demonstrate that the final results of consumption of power reduced on 88.48% on the server, and on the queue number sender module the reduction on the consumption of electricity was of the 38.9%. In conclusion, we will have the demonstration of the increase of energy efficiency on the Information Technology (IT) sector, specifically in this case of public queue attendance management system, that can be classified as a necessity due to the amount of users of those kind of systems.
