Análise Técnica e Comparativa de Caixa de Câmbio Manual e Automática

Abstract

A indústria automotiva surgiu antes mesmo do século XX, quando iniciou o desenvolvimento dos primeiros veículos. Essas máquinas são constituídas por diversos componentes, mecânico e eletroeletrônico. A caixa de transmissão é um dos principais componentes do automóvel tendo um papel fundamental sobre a dinâmica veicular, além de segurança, conforto e alta performance, quando exigido. Atualmente, na indústria automotiva existem quatro tipos de caixas de transmissão, e sua aplicabilidade no veículo objetiva, desde baixo custo no valor final do produto, até melhor eficiência na transferência de energia desde a geração no motor até as rodas. Nesse contexto, é proposto um trabalho visando análise técnica e comparativa das transmissões manual e automática utilizadas hoje no mundo automotivo, e abrangerá conteúdos sobre o funcionamento mecânico das peças de cada uma dessas transmissões e seu comportamento, apresentando a comparação de dados de desempenho, torque e potência. Além disso, foi feita uma pesquisa de campo juntamente a profissionais especializados na área, a fim de fortalecer as informações e os dados técnicos fornecidos pela montadora. Com isso, foi utilizado os conceitos da análise SWOT, reunindo todo o conteúdo pesquisado e analisado, a fim de verificar as vantagens e desvantagens no uso, bem como as possíveis tendências e cenários favoráveis para ambas as transmissões. Observou-se que com os avanços tecnológicos e as tendências da indústria automotiva as características da transmissão automática a tornam uma forte candidata para contemplar as exigências futuras. Com relação a transmissão manual, esta contém características fundamentais que ainda atende à demanda de desempenho e baixo custo, sendo um sistema que seguirá sendo usado.

The idea and concept of the automotive industry arose even before the XX century, where the development of the first vehicles began. These machines consist of several components, electrical, electronics and mechanics. The transmission box is one of the main components of the car having a key role about the vehicle dynamics, safety, comfort and high performance when required. Currently, in the automotive industry, there are four types of power transmission boxes and their applicability on the vehicle has some goals, since low cost in the final value of the product, until a better efficiency in the transfer of energy, from its generation, on the engine, to the wheels. In this context, a work is proposed aiming at a technical analysis with the manual and automatic transmissions used today in the automotive world, in addition, this work will cover contents involving the mechanical operation of the parts involved in each one of the transmissions and its behavior in the vehicular dynamics bringing, showing a performance data comparison of power and torque. Moreover, was used a SWOT analysis concept joining all the collected contents and analyzed to check the advantages and disadvantages on each transmission, which the possible trends and favorable and unfavorable scenarios for each one. Noticed mainly, that with the technologic advantages and the automotive trends future, the automatic transmission characteristics, become a greater option to attend a lot of future requirements. In other hands, the manual transmission has fundamentals characteristics the still contemplate demands as performance and low cost, thus, a transmission system that still will have a good path to be followed.
