Revelação figural: alegoria e presença dos seres híbridos na Divina Comédia, de Dante Alighieri

Abstract

Nos últimos anos de sua vida, Dante Alighieri escreveu uma carta a seu amigo Cangrande della Scala e informou sobre as possibilidades de leitura de sua obra Divina Comédia. Suas atribuições de leitura se situam nos modelos adotados pela patrística (século II ao século VII), desenvolvidos, posteriormente, por Boaventura e Tomás de Aquino. Nesse modelo, estão o sentido alegórico (moral, anagógico, alegórico) e o sentido literal. O modelo alegórico, o qual consideraremos para a análise, foi também conhecido como modelo tipológico ou figural, como elucidado por Erich Auerbach, que desenvolveu a teoria da interpretação figural enquanto uma forma de leitura que se concentrava no entendimento da Bíblia. Nosso objetivo é investigar como os seres híbridos são revelados por Dante enquanto presença do passado antigo presentificado na eternidade, na confluência dos tempos, em sua obra Divina Comédia, a qual descreve os ambientes do pós-morte medieval. Sendo assim, a leitura alegórica funcionava por meio do envolvimento de temporalidades, do passado presentificado e do presente elucidado na eternidade por meio da busca pelo futuro escatológico cristão. Seguiremos essa leitura alegórica desenvolvendo o conceito de interpretação figural no sentido de avançar sua interpretação, entendendo-o, assim, enquanto revelação figural manifestada, em uma cultura de presença (GUMBRECHT, 2010). Nossa tese é a de que os seres híbridos descritos e narrados por Dante são a presença da revelação da verdade alegórica, delimitada pelas visões de mundo e pela espiritualidade de Dante.

Abstract: In the last years of his life, Dante Alighieri wrote a letter to his friend Cangrande della Scala and reported about the reading possibilities of his work, the Divine Comedy. Your reading assignments are within the models adopted by the patristic (second century to the seventh century), developed later by Bonaventure and Thomas Aquinas. In this model are the allegorical sense (moral, anagogical, allegorical) and the literal sense. The allegorical model was also known as typological or figural, as elucidated by Erich Auerbach, who developed the theory of figural interpretation as a form of reading that focused on understanding the Bible. Our goal is to investigate how the hybrid beings are revealed by Dante as presence of the ancient past presentified in eternity, at the confluence of the times, in his Divine Comedy work, which describes the medieval postmortem environments. Thus, the allegorical reading worked through the involvement of temporality, past and present presentified and elucidated in eternity through the quest for christian eschatological future. By the allegorical reading we used the concept of figural interpretation in order to advance its interpretation, understanding it, as well as figural revelation manifested as Gumbrecht in a presence culture. Our thesis is that the described hybrids and narrated by Dante are the presence of the revelation of allegorical truth bounded by worldviews and by Dante's spirituality.
