Por uma dramaturgia da imagem: Kantor reescrevendo Witkacy no Teatro

Abstract

Este trabalho se propõe a discutir sobre o conceito de dramaturgia na obra do artista polonês, Tadeusz Kantor. Mesmo não sendo um encenador textocentrista, ele encenava textos dramáticos de grandes autores poloneses, especialmente a obra de Stanislaw Ignacy Witkiewicz, mais conhecido como Witkacy. Alterando textos originais através do processo de encenação e os reescrevendo em formato de múltiplos manifestos durante sua carreira, Kantor muitas vezes transformava a maior parte dos diálogos em imagens cênicas. A partir de um estudo teórico sobre o encenador, procuramos identificar o modo como ele distinguia o elemento do texto dentro do universo teatral, bem como compreender o processo de modificação do texto dramático desde a página até seu destino final, a cena. A partir desta pesquisa, identifica-se um possível método específico de criação dramatúrgica

Abstract: This work proposes to discuss the concept of dramaturgy in the work of the Polish artist, Tadeusz Kantor. Not being considered a textocentric dramatic author, he staged dramatic texts by great Polish authors, especially the work of Stanislaw Ignacy Witkiewicz, better known as Witkacy. Altering original texts through the staging process and rewriting them in multiple manifesto format during his career, Kantor often transformed most of the dialogues into images on stage. From a theoretical study of the director, we seek to identify how he distinguished the element of the text within the theatrical universe, as well as to understand the process of modifying the dramatic text from the page to its final destination, the stage. From this research, a possible specific method of dramaturgical creation could be identified.
