Eficácia do clareamento por face palatal em dentes com faceta de resina composta

Abstract

Os tratamentos estéticos são amplamente procurados na odontologia. Os pacientes buscam alterar formato e/ou cor dos elementos dentários. O presente trabalho trata-se da execução de uma pesquisa laboratorial, com o objetivo de avaliar a efetividade do clareamento dental realizado por face palatal em dentes com facetas de resina composta. Foram utilizados 19 dentes bovinos, nos quais foram realizados preparos vestibulares de 0,5 mm e facetas confeccionadas pela técnica da resina injetável. O clareamento dental caseiro foi realizado com Peróxido de Carbamida 10% por 1 hora, durante 28 dias. Os espécimes foram mantidos em hidratação com água, em temperatura ambiente, durante toda a pesquisa. A mensuração da cor foi realizada com um espectrofotômetro (Easyshade) em três momentos: T0 (inicial), T1 (14 dias) e T2 (28 dias). Com as coordenadas do sistema CIEDE 2000 (ΔE00.), foi realizada a análise estatística com os testes Shapiro-Wilk, Levene, Wilcoxon e Friedman, aplicado no software Jamovi versão 2.2.5. A coordenada b* apresentou valores significativamente maiores em T0 e T1, em comparação a T2 (Teste de Friedman, p-valor<0.0001). T2 apresentou valores de ΔE00 significativamente maiores que T1 (Teste de Wilcoxon, p-valor=0.0267). Pode-se concluir que o clareamento caseiro realizado por face palatal em dentes restaurados com faceta de resina composta é eficaz no protocolo de uso diário por uma hora durante 14 dias e durante 28 dias, obtendo um resultado mais eficaz durante 28 dias.

Aesthetic treatments are widely sought after in dentistry. Patients seek to change the shape and/or color of the dental elements. The present work is about the execution of a laboratory research, with the objective of evaluating the effectiveness of the dental bleaching performed by the palatal face in teeth with composite resin veneers. Nineteen bovine teeth were used, in which 0.5 mm buccal preparations and veneers made by the injectable resin technique were performed. At-home tooth whitening was performed with Carbamide Peroxide 10% for 1 hour for 28 days. The specimens were kept in hydration with water, at room temperature, throughout the research. Color measurement was performed with a spectrophotometer (Easyshade) at three times: T0 (initial), T1 (14 days) and T2 (28 days). With the coordinates of the CIEDE 2000 system (ΔE00.), the statistical analysis was performed with the Shapiro-Wilk, Levene, Wilcoxon and Friedman tests, applied in the Jamovi software version 2.2.5. The b* coordinate showed significantly higher values in T0 and T1, compared to T2 (Friedman test, p- value<0.0001). T2 showed significantly higher ΔE00 values than T1 (Wilcoxon test, p- value=0.0267). It can be concluded that home bleaching performed by palatal facet on teeth restored with composite resin veneers is effective in the protocol of daily use for one hour for 14 days and for 28 days, obtaining a more effective result for 28 days.
