Many animals die each year in the midst of lightning storms due to electrical discharges
that pass through the body, especially quadruped animals like cattle. There are few
studies and reports on animals that survived this type of accident, and the clinical signs
are mostly nonspecific, thus making it difficult for the treatments to be performed in this
case. Nowadays, human literature of researchers as Cooper is used as the basis to
use as a base treatment. In this work, a case of a 7 month- old Nelore cattle animal of
approximately 320 kg, which suffered an electric discharge on Santa Vergínia Farm -
Mato Grosso do Sul. The treatment was due to the clinical signs presented during the
observation of the animal, thus obtaining success in its recovery. |
