Relatório de estágio curricular supervisionado na área de clínica médica de pequenos animais

Abstract

O estágio supervisionado desempenha um papel fundamental na formação de estudantes de medicina veterinária, preparando-os para se tornarem profissionais competentes após a conclusão do curso. Durante este período os estudantes têm a oportunidade de aplicar na prática os conhecimentos teóricos adquiridos ao longo do curso, acompanhando a rotina e trabalhando sob a supervisão de profissionais experientes em diversos campos da medicina veterinária. Desta forma, com o propósito de acompanhar locais com diferentes rotinas na área de clínica de pequenos animais, foram escolhidas duas concedentes para realização do estágio final curricular. Este relatório tem como objetivo descrever a rotina e as tarefas realizadas na área de clínica médica de pequenos animais, durante a qual foram atendidos 261 animais, sendo o sistema tegumentar o mais acometido. O estágio, com duração aproximada de 492 horas, foi realizado no Hospital Veterinário Veros, em São Paulo, e no Hospital Veterinário da Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia da Universidade Estadual Paulista, em Botucatu, permitindo uma comparação abrangente entre a estrutura dos locais e a casuística observada durante o período.

The supervised internship plays a fundamental role in the training of veterinary medicine students, preparing them to become competent professionals upon course completion. During this period, students can apply the theoretical knowledge acquired throughout the course, shadowing the routine and working under the supervision of experienced professionals in various fields of veterinary medicine. In order to observe locations with different routines in the field of small animal clinics, two locations were selected to carry out the final internship. The purpose of this report is to describe the routine and the activities carried out in the small animal medical clinic during which 261 animals were treated, with the intergumentary system being the most affected. The internship, lasting a period of approximately 492, was carried out at the Veros Veterinary Hospital in São Paulo and at the Veterinary Hospital of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science at the São Paulo State University in Botucatu, thus providing a comparison that encompasses everything from the structure of the locations to the case studies during the internship period.
