Princípios estéticos aplicados à odontologia reabilitadora: revisão de literatura

Abstract

O principal objetivo da Odontologia Reabilitadora é restabelecer a capacidade mastigatória, fonética e estética dos pacientes, melhorando sua qualidade de vida através de intervenções que vão desde restaurações simples até reabilitações orais complexas. A perda e o desgaste dentário comprometem significativamente o equilíbrio funcional e estético do sistema bucal, impactando negativamente a saúde bucal, sistêmica e a autoestima do paciente. O sorriso, sendo uma característica exclusivamente humana, tem forte impacto na autoconfiança e percepção de bem-estar. O cenário odontológico atual tem sido transformado pela crescente valorização da estética dental e facial, refletindo mudanças socioculturais e maior conscientização sobre o impacto da estética na autoestima e relações interpessoais. O texto apresenta uma pesquisa cujo objetivo geral é realizar uma revisão da literatura sobre os parâmetros estéticos necessários para auxiliar o clínico no planejamento estético-funcional de reabilitações orais. Os objetivos específicos incluem identificar os principais parâmetros faciais, labiais, dentogengivais e dentários relevantes, além de sistematizar esses parâmetros através de um checklist estético clínico em formato de formulário eletrônico. As bases da dados utilizadas nas pesquisas foram: embase, pubmed, lilacs. Na busca foram encontrados 4,930 artigos na categoria análise facial, 9,851 artigos na categoria análise dento-labiais 3,579 artigos e 1335 artigos na categoria análise dentária. A seleção inicial dos estudos foi baseada na leitura de títulos e resumos, seguida pela seleção e leitura completa dos artigos considerados relevantes. A análise sistemática dos parâmetros é fundamental para o planejamento estético-funcional de reabilitações orais. O uso de um checklist estético facilita a avaliação completa e reduz a possibilidade de negligenciar aspectos importantes, contribuindo para resultados mais previsíveis e harmônicos.

Main objective of rehabilitative dentistry is to restore patients' masticatory, phonetic and aesthetic capacity, improving their quality of life through interventions ranging from simple restorations to complex oral rehabilitation. Tooth loss and wear significantly compromise the functional and aesthetic balance of the oral system, negatively impacting oral and systemic health and the patient's self-esteem. The smile, being a uniquely human characteristic, has a strong impact on self-confidence and the perception of well-being. The current dental scenario has been transformed by the growing appreciation of dental and facial aesthetics, reflecting sociocultural changes and greater awareness of the impact of aesthetics on self-esteem and interpersonal relationships. The text presents a study whose general objective is to review the literature on the aesthetic parameters needed to assist the clinician in the aesthetic-functional planning of oral rehabilitations. The specific objectives include identifying the main relevant facial, labial, dentogingival and dental parameters, as well as systematizing these parameters through a clinical aesthetic checklist in electronic form. The databases used for the searches were: embase, pubmed, lilacs. The search found 4,930 articles in the facial analysis category, 9,851 articles in the dento-labial analysis category, 3,579 articles and 1,335 articles in the dental analysis category. The initial selection of studies was based on the reading of titles and abstracts, followed by the selection and complete reading of the articles considered relevant. The systematic analysis of parameters is fundamental for the aesthetic-functional planning of oral rehabilitations. The use of an aesthetic checklist facilitates a complete evaluation and reduces the possibility of neglecting important aspects, contributing to more predictable and harmonious results.
